~18 Months Old~

~18 Month Check up~

I can't believe my baby is 18 months old today!!! It's crazy how fast time is going by.
We had her check up today.
Here are her stats:

20 lbs 10 oz - 6%
31.25 in tall- 38%
18.7 in head- 77%

She is a tall skinny girl!! She actually hasn't changed much from her 15 month appointment. The doctor said she looked good and besides coming in, in about 8 weeks just to check her weight we don't have to go in again until she is 2 years old.
I talked to the doctor about something Kimberly has decided to do in the last three months. She holds her breath when she gets hurt (even if it doesn't hurt) and ends up kind of passing out!!! (oh joy!!!) it scared me the first time she did it but she came right out of it. She did it three more time before we went to the doctor. The doctor said it is some what normal and its called "Breath holding spells" or BHS. This is when they don't get all the oxygen they need to there brain, so they pass out, their lips may turn blue/purple, and may have seizure little twitches! He also said that she should get over it by age 2-3. I just have to warn people before I leave her with them so they know what to do if she does it.*Lay her down and put her legs up* She should come right out of it, and after 5-10 min. be right back to normal.

When Kimberly has done it: (this is more for my record)

01. In Feb 2011 we were at the clinic for her to be tested for RSV and we were waiting for her to go back. She wanted to push the stroller around (which was fine) she ended up pushing it into the bathroom and I was trying to get her to come out of the bathroom so I could turn the stroller around for her to push it some more. She started throwing a temper tantrum and pushing to try and get out of my arms. Then after only a min or two she all the sudden stopped crying and went limp! I started freaking out thinking she was having a seizure and ran out to find some one. (she was just laying on my shoulder with her eyes open) when I found someone I asked them where I could find some one to help me and they wanted to look at her. They said she looked fine and by this time she was acting normal. So I headed back to the waiting room where I had just wigged out. (very embarrasing for me) The other moms asked if she was ok and what was wrong. Of course I didn't know but I just said "temper tantrum I guess".

02. Mid Feb 2011 We were at Janica's house and the kids ran back to Janica's room to play. All of the sudden I heard a thud and Kimberly started crying so I ran back to see what had happened. Gerry was carrying her out to me and she was crying but no sound was coming out. So I picked her up and she went limp again and her eyes were opening and closing. But then after a couple seconds she was just sitting there. I just kept talking to her and telling her she was fine. I didn't freak out like the first time. Then she jumped up and went to play again.

03. March 2011 We were at dinner with Patti and Trip. Jeremy was playing with Kimberly and she bumped her head on the table. She started to cry and then went limp. Patti and I told Jeremy to get her out. (It scared Patti, Trip, and Jeremy because they hadn't seen it before) I took her and after a couple seconds she was fine and was eating dinner.

04. April 2011 Kimberly and I were at Sears and I let her get down to walk. The salesman was helping us find something and when he walked away to check on a price he didn't see her and tripped and knocked her down. She did kind of bump her head but it wasn't that bad. I picked her up and kept telling her she was ok and blew in her face (supposed to help them take a breath) and she did take a breath but then was just laying on my shoulder crying. I think I saved this one from happening.

Hopefully this isn't to bad and she grows out of it soon. Dang Temper Tantrums!!!!!

~11 Months Old~

~Kimberly is 11 Months Old~


Wow I can't believe that in a month Kimberly is going to be one!!!! She is getting so fun and entertaining. I love being home with her and experiencing all her firsts. I just wish daddy got to be home more with us.

Milestones and new things:

01. She can and loves to stand up to the couch or anything not to high.
02. She has started using a sippy cup. Not sure if she totally understands it but like juices and water.
03. She loves Chicken (anyway) and french fries. We started giving her a lot more adult food and she is enjoying it. She doesn't like baby food as much these days.
04. She knows what stuff we say "no" to. She will either shake her head no when we say no to her or she will just look at what she shouldn't touch and shake her head, but not touch it.
05. Started saying "uh oh" its so cute!!
06. Still a major thumb sucker!!
07. Still doesn't have anymore teeth but I think the top ones are close.
08. She has started trying to stand alone. She will push off of me. It's fun to see her figuring out her balance.
09. She went to her first State Fair.
10. She loves following mommy and daddy around the house. But does get annoyed when we walk around to much. ( she gets tired, will sit down and whine until we come and get her)

I really hope I am remember all the new things. It really feels like I am missing some, she has been doing so much these days!

~10 Months Old~

~Kimberly is 10 Months Old~
I say this every time but I can't believe how big my baby is!! Time is going by so fast. She has been learning so much. She doesn't act like a baby so much anymore!

Here are some milestones and fun things:

01. She is finally CRAWLING! She is a cautions crawler but she gets around.
02. She finally has TEETH! one (bottom left) is through and the second(bottom right) is really close.
03. She gets so excited and loves to walk with help from anyone!
04. She out smarted mommy with the remote to the t.v. Good thing daddy is smart about t.v.'s!
05. She got her first bruise from learning to crawl. (on her forehead)
06. She loves tags. She cuddles with them like a blanket! Funny girl
07. She is in a size 4 diaper.(Target brand)
08. She tries to blow and makes a face we call 'monkey lips' Hopefully she will learn how to blow when she has birthday candles.
09. She loves story time before bed.
10. She went to the zoo for a second time, I think she enjoyed it more.
11. She learned how to sit up all by herself
12. We had to put the mattress down in her crib
13.She tries to dress herself with our clothes when I am folding them.
14. She can pick up food with her thumb and index finger.

Yesterday Janica and I took the kids to the drive-in movie. It was fun the kids got really tired after the first movie so the second was kind of hard to watch but it was a fun last summer event for Ariana and Gerry before school. We saw Toy Story 3 and The Sorcerer's Apprentice.

I can not believe Kimberly is 9 months old. She is getting so big! She has been doing so much in the last month and is still a VERY happy baby.

Milestones and fun things:

01. She loves rolling around on the floor. She is still NOT interested in crawling!!
02. She loves to stand up to the couch or against your body. I think she will walk before she crawls!
03. She loves to click her tongue or blow raspberries with her lips or tongue.
04. She loves Apples.
05. She went to Lagoon for the first time.
06. She loves cheetos
07. She got her first ear infections earlier this month.
08. She road on her first 4 wheeler
09. She still has NO teeth
10. She can sit by herself and can almost get to her tummy on her own from a sitting position.
11. She claps, waves and tries to do the "roll it" part of Patty cake! (but when she feels like it not when we try to get her to do it!!!)

Kimberly is 8 months old today! I can't believe how big she is getting. She is learning so much and is getting more fun each day!

Here are some milestones and fun things:

01. Today she is celebrating her daddy!
02. She is a major thumb sucker. She always has her thumb in her month
03. She can pretty much sit up without help, but still falls over sometimes.
04. Has no interest in crawling
05. Loves her veggies! (Peas. Green beans, carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, corn...)
06. She hasn't tried fruits yet!!
07. She laughs like woody the woodpecker sometimes
08. She can stand assisted and loves it
09. She got her first Helmet from Grandma Coon (for our camping trip this next week)
10. When she was in the bath the other night she was playing with her duck and I kept saying "duck, duck" and she started going "du, du".

~7 Months Old~

~Kimberly is 7 Months Old~

I can not believe Kimberly is 7 months old. It feels like this last month flew by so fast compared to the other months. She is so much fun to be around. I love that I get to stay home with her! I wish Jeremy could be home with us but we don't have that luxury! I think we would go crazy being home all the time together!! Ha ha!
Here are some of her milestones and fun things:

01. She is rolling over from her back to her front more often.
02. She says Dada..... We are working on Mama....
03. She went to the Zoo for the first time.
04. She still doesn't like cereal much.
05. She LOVES Peas (we have only tried peas so far we are trying green beans tomorrow)
06. She lights up every time we go over to Janica's and she sees Anela. They are best friends!
07. She doesn't like the lawnmower. She cries every time we mow and she is outside watching.
08. She sits up pretty well but still gets to excited and falls over.
09. She is wearing 6-9 onsies but probably needs to go up a size, and wears 6-12 month clothes.
10. She loves peek-a-boo, sometime she just closes her eyes like she is doing peek-a-boo and squirms around.
11. She copies daddy and does wiggle wiggle with her body.

I can't believe that Kimberly is 6 Months Old It seems like I was just waiting for her to arrive! She has been so much fun, She is a very active baby that is for sure!
Here are some milestones and fun things in the last month:

01. She sticks out her tongue ALL the time!
02. She plays with her feet and tries to suck on them03. She loves being outside in the sun04. She has started getting stranger anxiety
05. She started cereal a few days ago and HATES it! But we are hoping she starts to enjoy it.06. She has started doing a kissy face at us. Or monkey lips as Jeremy calls it!07. She is still working on sitting up but getting better everyday
08. She doesn't like tummy time but is finally knowing to roll over to get off her tummy
09. She is such a independent little girl ALREADY

We can't believe our little girl is 4 months old already! We love having her in our lives, she is so much fun. We love to watch her grow and learn new things!

Milestones and fun things about Kimberly

01.She still has a ton of hair. (She is getting a little bald spot on the back, but it won't be long before she is sitting up)

02. She has rolled over from her front to back and from her back to front.

03. She has started to suck on her bottom lip. (Who needs a thumb or binkie!!!)

04. She still loves a ton of attention, but doesn't like to be held.

05. She is getting very coordinated with her hands.

06. She loves being out in the sun.

07. She would rather be naked then bundled up.
08. She absolutely loves being with her daddy and talking to him on the phone.

09. Her favorite toy is her link rings.

10. She loves to watch people eat.
